You will see a confirmation of the module. Click Import then restart the Accelerator program. If you do not restart the module will not be available in the project.
Add module to project:
Click on Step 4. Add Other Devices in the top bar. You will find Rachio in My (1) – IP Database (2) – AUX (3). Select the Rachio model and then click Add Selected Module (4).
Make sure that under section 8. Select 2-Way Modules for Network Remotes/Keypads (5) that there is a check box that says BlackWire_Rachio Main Functions and that the box is checked. If not go back and import the module again and make sure to restart Accelerator after.
Network Setup:
Under Step 6 Network Setup click on Non URC Device. Then enter in an IP address for the Rachio. This is a fake IP and not the actual units IP. We recommend using 0.0.0.1
Rachio API Key Step 1:
Go to rachio.com and click on log in or go to https://app.rach.io/
Log into the customers account and then click the account Icon on the top right
Setting up the module:
Go to Step 11 3rd Party 2-Way Settings then click on Two Way Module Settings. Choose Rachio from the drop down menu.
You will need 2 things to make this module work
- A license key from BlackWire
- Rachio API Key (which you got from the last step)
On the bottom right under System Parameter Information you will add the License key after the = sign and then scroll down and add the API key. There is also a property for Quick Run where you will set the time for quick run watering when you select it from the interface. IE 5 = 5 minutes.
If there is more than 1 Rachio unit on the account you will set the System Name otherwise leave this blank.
Accelerate and Download:
Now it is time to accelerate. You will need to Accelerate Step 10 and also Step 12 and download to the system. The device will populate in the settings menu of the room that it is located in at the system tree.
Programming Commands:
In Step 12. Macro Editing you can select 2-Way Module Commands from the toolbar to access programming commands. With these commands you can program in common control functions into your URC macros.
